Arcus bass bows are available in three different models, and in two styles - French and German

Soloists tend to prefer the Concerto, while orchestral musicians prefer the Sinfonia. Both are comfortable with excellent sound and agility. The Veloce model which is slightly heavier is used mainly by students and amateurs. Arcus have taken advantage of the strength and lighter weight of carbon fibre, and have been able to make a bass bow which is both agile and comfortable to play with. Smaller or younger players are able to use an Arcus bow with ease, rather than having to use a shorter 3/4 length bow. Arcus Bass bows have round sticks. The French Concerto and Sinfonia weigh approx 115 gms, and the German Concerto and Sinfonia weigh approx 125 gms. The Veloce bows are a little heavier at 125 gms for the French model and 130 gms for the German model.
