New for 2007 - Arcus Rosin - high quality handmade rosin
Arcus have launched a new, premium range of rosins. These rosins are made to the specific requirements of Arcus by MELOS rosins.
Rather than create a different rosin for each instrument, Arcus have created just three types. Light, medium, and dark. All three rosins are designed to work well together, and you can mix the rosin types on your bow without problems. Normally, changing between rosin types isn't recommended without cleaning the hair thoroughly first between each different application.
The light rosin is mainly for violinists. If they find the rosin to be too hard during the winter months, they may then swap to
the medium. A cellist or bassist would use the dark, perhaps swapping to the medium in the summer months. A viola player might like to try any of these, depending on their
instrument and the temperature, but we would recommend they start first with the medium.
