A few years ago Arcus did a complete redesign of their entire product line.
Over the years they had developed innovative new manufacturing techniques and this,
coupled with a deeper understanding of the properties of their bows and the expressed
needs of the players using them, prompted their engineers to go back to the drawing board.
They realised that the knowledge they had gained over the years would allow them to take bow design
to a level of sophistication that had never been possible before. The results speak for themselves.

With a mass of only about 65 grams, these bows are vastly more maneuverable than any "normal" bow. Their much stronger sticks make it possible to use the full potential of all modern strings with either a steel or synthetic core.

Their somewhat softer stick and their higher mass (about 72 grams)
make these bows feel and sound perfectly easy and well-balanced.
The somewhat darker sound can be a great match for bright sounding
instruments, and blends beautifully in any cello section.
