Arcus premium rosins. These rosins are made to the specific requirements of Arcus by MELOS rosins.
In Salonika, Greece, Christos Sykiotis makes an exclusive line
of rosin especially for Arcus. The three different grades can be mixed to balance
the grip of the bow hair to meet your exact requirements. They makes very
little dust and the sound is full and
perfectly balanced.
Note: For best results Arcus recommend
using harder grades in a cool weather and lighter grades in warm weather.
The light rosin is mainly for violinists. If they find the rosin to be too hard during the winter months, they may then swap to
the medium. A cellist or bassist would use the dark, perhaps swapping to the medium in the summer months. A viola player might like to try any of these, depending on their
instrument and the temperature.
